Turret Opera (Cara Mia) – Piano!
by Seabass on Apr.25, 2011, under Sheet Music
Based on comments on a fellow video-game-music-playing pianist, Taioo, piano sheet music for the Turret Opera is in high demand. So far, only the Choral / SATB version was available, which I arranged yesterday. Now there’s a piano version!
This is the as-of-now untitled operatic song at the end of the game. Due to lack of official word from Valve, it is referred to as The Fat Lady SingsTurret Opera or O Cara Mia, Addio. It was composed by Valve’s awesome in-house composer Mike Morasky. Lyrics by Ellen McLain.

Spaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaace!

Do you think anyone could translate this piece into the Alto Clef? If so, please email me the sheet music at [email removed].

Can some one make the melody into a trumpet version. I would love to play it.

Just take it down two half steps. If you can’t do it you should learn to do it; transposition is an important skill.

This is many months late, but for trumpet you should read it two half-steps up. Don’t forget to change the key too! If you do it right, it’ll be in the trumpet’s key of C major, which is wonderful.
Also, thanks for the music Sebastian! Saved me the trouble of arranging it for myself, haha.

Any tips on how to make it better?

I disagree! I think it’s very good. The only thing I can think of is the F# in measure 4 should really be Gb in order to keep the triad properly spelled. It’s not that big of a deal, but Bb aeolian doesn’t have a F#. If you have a different reason for that, let me know!

Ooh, good catch. Yeah, messy transcribing on my part!

The video isn’t mine, like I wrote above. I did not play this version, someone else did.
Also, I’m not entirely sure what you’re asking. Protip: Punctuation.
