Mockingjay Call – Rue’s theme

Perhaps it’s not a good idea to get this hyped up for The Hunger Games when it’s not coming out until March 2012.

Anyhow, here’s sheet music to the Mockingjay Call – the whistled melody representing freedom. We find out about from Rue in the books, and first heard it at the end of the first trailer (below). It’s most likely composed by James Newton Howard and is © Lions Gate Entertainment. I made some sheet music for it.

Perhaps I’m trying too hard.

    Mockingjay was a brilliant conclusion to the trilogy. I can only compare it to “Ender’s Game” – and that is extremely high praise, indeed.

    When I first closed the book last night, I felt shattered, empty, and drained. This book is my favorite of the series, hands-down.

      Wasn’t it awesome? Too bad we’ll probably have to wait 5-6 years for the last movie to come out. “Excitement” doesn’t fully encompass my feelings for this Friday.

    Is there any way you could make this for bass? Haha, I’m sorry, but I just want to be able to play this randomly in Orchestra class ^^;

    I tried to work it out and got it as d-f-e-A, a friend with (allegedly) perfect pitch who I played the trailer to said it’d be Ab-B-Bb-Eb… Now you say it’s F#-A-G#-C#… I’m confused.

        I just checked by analyzing the trailer frequencies :D You’re right about the first three, but the last one’s a D… I probably just got the fourths below, I think they are somewhat mixed into the trailer.

    You people who are commenting are freaking retards. You can play any song in any key. So when different people got different notes, technically they’re all correct but just in different keys. And I have the official piano sheet music which is the same notes as they used in the movie. So if you want the exact notes that they used in the movie, then its G Bb A B. But different kinds of instruments play primarily in different keys. So if one person tried to figure it out on piano, and another on saxophone (just examples), then the note names would be different, even if when you played them together they sounded like the same notes. Just so that you know and aren’t confused about which ones are right.
