For the next few weeks, hopefully months, I’ll be doing a weekly video game concert thing, part of DAMNLAG. Expect a new video game song performed every Tuesday. They’ll all be posted on my YouTube channel.
Here is the performance for Week 1: A request for a song from Final Fantasy XIII. Since it’s a simple song, I quickly arranged some piano sheet music to go with the performance. Final Fantasy belongs to SquareEnix. Enjoy!
Eyes on Me [Final Fantasy VIII] (piano cover)

Not too proud of this – might have to redo it at some point.
Here is Eyes on Me, from Final Fantasy 8. Buy the album or game to support the awesome folks who created it.
No sheet music from me, don’t ask. It’s from the official FF8 Piano Collections plus a variation, since I forgot parts of it.

Happy birthday, grandma.

This was a request from Youtube user aphrodite1404 with a special arrangement of the song. Personally, I like this a lot better than the version from the FFVII Piano Collection.
This arrangement is nowhere else to be found. Credit to Lake and RAM.

Everything © 植松伸夫 (Nobuo Uematsu) and Square Enix. I don’t own it, sadly.
Picture also © Square Enix, but art credit goes to this person: http://akiba.sub.jp/img/ic20051009aerith.jpg
Tatakau Monotachi [Final Fantasy VII]

Sheet music is from the Final Fantasy VII Piano Collection.
After playing this song for over a year, I feel “Tatakau Monotachi” from Final Fantasy VII is finally in a condition worthy of sharing. My right hand is in pain right now, but that doesn’t matter… does it?
Most likely the hardest piece from the Final Fantasy series I’ve played so far – although J-E-N-O-V-A comes quite close.
Yes, I killed the slurs and trills in the right hand. Yes, I over-pedalled (again!) Yes, my piano is (painfully) out of tune. No, I will not give you the sheet music. Use Google.

J-E-N-O-V-A [Final Fantasy VII]
by Seabass on Oct.19, 2006, under Music Performance
Piano version of “J-E-N-O-V-A” from Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children (which is, coincidentally, the same as the piano version from the Final Fantasy VII Piano Collections).
Why the “Beta?” Well, uh, I went waay too fast, practically racing through it- hence slaughtering Uematsu’s wonderful piece. I’ll upload a fixed version later. Much later – once our heater starts working again and I don’t have to pound on the keys with frozen fingers.

Edit: Way old. Song from the Final Fantasy X Piano Collections by Nobuo Uematsu’s. Pardon the few errors, t’was sight-reading practice. (c) Square Enix and Nobuo Uematsu.

I highly recommend SquareSound, where many fan arrangements live, including Final Fantasy X.
