I’ve loved VVVVVV since it came out and took hold of my free time. I still have to beat Veni, Vedi, Vici…

I’ve wanted to play Pushing Onwards forever. I chose UnofficialSoundtrack‘s arrangement. Sheet music available for free: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/23040402/Pushing%20Onwards.pdf.

There is also a different version out there by arranger and musician Brent Kennedy. His version is more of an arrangement than a reduction – which this performance is. I will never have the dexterity that @UnofficialSoundtrack has. Have a listen to his performance… which is much cleaner and much more epic:

Hello World, I am still alive. This month, I give you sheet music from PopCap’s wonderful game, Plants Vs. Zombies composed by Laura Shigihara! The rather short and simple soundtrack has its appeal though, and sounds wonderful on piano. Expect a medley soon!

Oh, and if you don’t even know what this PvZ thing is, let PopCap’s Plants Vs. Zombies website fill you in.

I was a bit late with discovering the wonder that is World of Goo. My roommate introduced me, and I instantly fell in love with the game and music. If you haven’t already, buy the game, play it, and thank me later for showing you this gem from 2008. Oh, and download the FREE soundtrack for World of Goo from Kyle Gabler’s website. They will be some of the best 49 minutes you will have had recently.

Another excellent indie game I recently found is 2D Boy’s World of Goo (Wikipedia article). I fell in love upon hearing the music, and instantly started arranging piano-solo sheet music for the main six melodies.

I first played Cave Story (洞窟物語 – “Dokutsu Monogatari”) a few months ago, and immediately got hooked on the music. So, here are the 36 (official) tracks in piano-solo format. I’ve also included 4-handed arrangements for those with 20 fingers, or something.

So, I recently discovered the beauty that is Cave Story, a free yet amazing game with equally amazing music. I just couldn’t help arranging one of the greatest songs from it (Moonsong) for piano. Four-handed, that is. Have fun growing another two arms to play! I’ll probably get around to a few other songs from it as well. And yes, I’m still working on the KH piano medley…
