Fire and Ice is a 17-minute film created by a team of four high school students: Jeremy Cutcher, Ian Thompson, Sebastian Wolff, and Max Malin. We spent around $1100 for the production of the film. Besides producing, editing, videographing/filming and working partially on the sound design, I composed the complete score - which is available for free download.
A full version of the film is available on youtube here. However, YouTube quality is 320x240 pixels with mono sound. We filmed in widescreen at DVD quality and muxed the audio to 5.1 surround-sound. A lot of the intended cinematic experience is lost due to this, and is only available on DVD. If you would like to buy a copy: yes! They are on sale for $9.99 (shipping and handling included for residents in USA).
The DVD has the entire film at the highest possible video quality with 5.1 surround sound. Special features include a documentary for the making-of, production stills, a digital copy of the film, and directors' commentary.
